I can tell because Mommy and Daddy are packing suitcases and Mommy put my ball and my rope and my food in my special bag. I don’t know where we are going, but I don’t care. I LOVE to go on trips. I’m so excited I don’t know if I can sleep tonight!

Mommy just told me we are going to see Becca and Cory in a place called New York City. We went to a New York place a few weeks ago but she said this is different. This is a…city. Hmmm, wonder what that is.

Walking

When Aunt Lola first came to stay at our house she was not a very good leash walker. It took us forever to get ready to go because she wouldn’t hold still to put her leash on. I guess she never went for walks at her house because she gets REAL excited every time it is walk time. When we finally got out the door she would pull Mommy’s arm so bad that it would hurt her. One day she pulled so hard that Mommy dropped the leash and Lola ran away. But then she came right back when Mommy yelled for her, so that was good. Lola used to tangle the leashes all up when we walked because she didn’t know what side to walk on. Then I would get all mixed up…it was a mess.

But now Aunt Lola’s a much better walker. She still gets real excited at walk time, but she tries real hard to sit still while Mommy puts the harness on her. She knows how to walk beside Mommy now – well, most of the time. Lola always walks on the right side and I always walk on the left. Lola even remembers to sit when Mommy stops at the corner! We go for walks every day with Mommy or with Amanda. On the weekends Daddy takes us on walks. Lola even does good for him!

Yesterday was great. I showed Lola all over Dogtopia. I introduced her to Amber and Kathy and all my other friends. We played tag and wrestle and chase and then tag and wrestle and chase again! It was so-o-o fun. By the time we went home I was so tired I could hardly walk. Today I am just going to sleep – all day.

Aunt Lola came to STAY at my house – not visit, STAY! Mommy said she is going to be here for 8 weeks! I think that is a l-o-o-ong time.

Rico had to have something called a surgery. I know that is something a doctor does and I think it hurts because he needs to have a lot of rest and he can’t play and wrestle with Lola after the surgery thing. Lisa sent Lola here to stay with us so Rico won’t forget he can’t play and then hurt his surgery. I think that if he tries to play and then it hurts he will stop, but I guess Lisa isn’t sure so she wants Lola to stay with us. That’s okay with me. It’s going to be fun having Lola here!

Deer!

Tonight when Mommy took me to my class we saw lots and lots of funny looking animals. They were a little bigger than my Uncle Rico and almost the same color as him. Except they had big ears and flippy tails. My mommy said they were called deer. They looked like they were playing chase and jump all around the field. I wanted to go play with them, but Mommy said we had to just watch. It was hard to just watch. They looked like they were having lots of fun. Their tails were flipping all over the place. Then some of them started watching me watch them. They stood very still, so I stood very still. They turned their heads, so I turned my head. They flipped their ears, I tried to flip my ears. I tried to talk to them – quietly, but they didn’t answer. They just kept staring. We stared and stared and stared. Then… they all ran away. I wanted to run with them, but Mommy said they wouldn’t like it. They would be scared. They ran way away through all the trees. So we went home.

Deer are a little strange…but I think they would make good playmates. Maybe next time they will let me run and jump with them.

The bumblebees are back!

I like bumblebees!

They make funny noises. They fly in circles. Don’t they know which way to go? I think they are kind of crazy things.

I DON’T think they should fly in MY yard though. I chase them around and make them go out of my yard. Mommy says I shouldn’t try to catch them – they might hurt me. How can they hurt me? They are little and I am big. They are slow and fat and…well, not too smart I think. But I don’t really want to catch them. I just like to chase them…and scare them a little.

**Allergies are ICKY, ICKY, ICKY! I HATE them!**

They make my nose itch and I sneeze and sneeze. They make my eyes itch and get all yucky.

Mommy makes me get my face washed EVERY time I come back in the house. She says that pollen stuff sticks in my fuzzy face. I don’t like to get my face washed. I try to hide, but Mommy ALWAYS finds me. Then she washes my face and puts water stuff in my eyes. I try to shut them really tight so the water won’t go in, but she always makes me open them. Sometimes she puts medicine in my eyes too. That helps my itchys, but it is yucky.

I hope that pollen stuff goes away soon. I HATE ALLERGIES.

I’m a little sad today.

You see…I have a new friend. Well, I HAD a new friend. Her name is Sandra. She came to stay at our house in our purple room. She brought her suitcase and everything. I love when people come and bring their suitcases. That always means fun time. My new friend came at the same time as Lisa and Margaret – then she went away for a few days – then she came back. I liked having her here. She rubbed my back and my head and my tummy… she went for walks with me and she threw lots of balls for me to chase. She even laughed at me when I tried to be silly.

But now Sandra is gone again. I think she won’t come back this time. When I checked the purple room there was nothing in it. Well, nothing that was hers. I think Sandra went back to her house. Mommy said it is very far away and she had to fly in a airplane. I know what they are…I like to watch them up in the sky. I’m not sure how they work, but I don’t think I want to go up there in one. I’m going to miss my friend Sandra. I didn’t even get a picture of her. Mommy always takes pictures of me with all my friends, but we forgot this time. I hope she comes back to visit me soon so we can get a picture.

I’m a little sad today.
